As with any
type of exercise routine, a natural body building diet is crucial
to any type of bodybuilding exercise, for only when combined with
a proper diet can any form of exercise truly show results. With
natural body building diet and exercise, you can quickly notice
improvements in regards to weight loss and muscle gain, although
there a few issues that are important to be understood before
you can expect any type of results.
What is a
Natural Body Building Diet?
One of the
greatest myths in body building, especially to that of beginners,
is that by eating everything in sight and trying to lift the heaviest
weights possible will help you to bulk up; this of course is completely
untrue. The only way to properly bulk up and be healthily in shape
is by sticking to a natural bodybuilding diet and combining that
with the proper exercises. In fact, if you were to try this strategy
you would see that all you would gain is fat.
One of the
most important factors to any natural bodybuilding diet is that
of the fact that you need to increase your carbohydrate intake
to at least between 1.5-2grams of carbs per pound of bodyweight.
This is because in order to gain muscle, you need a decent carbohydrate
intake in order to keep your energy levels high and to help shuttle
the amino acids from your proteins into the muscle tissue.
You must remember
to make sure that most of the carbohydrates that you intake are
from low glycemic carbs such as brown rice, oatmeal, and sweet
potatoes. By mostly consuming low glycemic carbs, you will make
sure that it is your muscle mass that is maximized as opposed
to fat gain. You should also make sure that you eat half of your
carbs split in between the times that your body is most receptive
to them, such as in the morning and after you complete a workout.
The reason
these two times are the periods where your body is most receptive
to carbs is because these are the points in the day when your
body is craving carbs the most. Early in the morning you havent
had anything to eat, and after a workout routine your body is
exhausted and needs carbs to fuel back up. You also need to remember
that not all fats are bad, and that your body actually needs certain
fats in order to be healthy.
